Look, I’m not saying wine makes you braver 🍷, but it definitely convinced me to step onto a skateboard 🛹 for the first time.
We were at the beach 🏖️, the vibes were high 🎶, and someone (definitely not me) said, “How hard can it be?” Famous last words.
Armed with one glass of Chardonnay 🍇 and zero coordination 😅, I decided today was my day to become a skater girl.
Spoiler: It was not my day.
I wobbled 🤸♀️. I screamed 🙀. I may have invented new swear words 💥. Somewhere between my third attempt and my dramatic almost-faceplant, I realized two things:
1️⃣ Skateboarding is harder than it looks.
2️⃣ I am much better at holding wine glasses than balancing on wheels.
But honestly? It was the best kind of disaster 🎉.
We laughed until we cried 😂. We cheered 🥂 for the three feet I actually stayed upright. And when I finally sat down (with dignity mostly intact 😎), I toasted the sunset 🌅 and decided falling is just proof that you tried.
If you ever think you’re too old, too scared, or too “responsible” to try something ridiculous — pour a glass 🍷, grab your friends 👯♀️, and do it anyway.
Worst case, you get a hilarious story 📖.
Best case, you ride into the sunset (or at least into the sand dunes like me) 🏄♀️.
