Stuffed Cornish Game Hens
STUFFED CORNISH GAME HENS
4 Game Hens
4 cups of rice
1 stick of butter
1/3 cup of Worcestershire sauce
2 tblsp of garlic seasoning salt
Make up your rice, which ever kind you like. I like to use the box herb and garlic rice but hard to find.
While rice is coking, melt butter in small sauce pan, adding Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Mix well while butter is melting. Let simmer on low for 15 mins.
When rice is done stuff 1 cup into cleaned game hen. Take each game hen and roll it around the sauce in pan covering the hen well with sauce. Place in baking pan. Pour any remaining sauce over the hens.
Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 1 hour.
Wine Pairing: Chenin Blanc - crisp white wine with green apple and honey flavor
If you prefer a red: Merlot will be a good choice. Lush red wine full of carmel, black cherry and plum.
