Technically, it was a work trip. Realistically? I came for the wine and stayed for the ponies.

So Carrie sent me to The Belmont Stakes in Saratoga. Big hats, big bets, and yes—I may have tried to pet every horse that trotted past. They don’t let you name them, I asked.

Black & White Day was giving glam and chaos (my two core strengths). The wine was flowing, the 1863 Club had charcuterie boards that made me cry a little, and I swear someone mistook me for a trainer. Could’ve been the boots. Could’ve been the cabernet.
