Stuffed Meatballs
Stuffed Meatballs
2lbs of hamburger meat
1 lb of pork sausage
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tblsp of Italian Seasoning
4 green onions chopped
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 cups of fresh finely grated mozzarella cheese
½ cup of breadcrumbs
1 egg whisked
Fresh parsley or oregano if you like
1 pkg of mini mozzarella balls (keep separate)
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl, (except for mozzarella balls)
Scoop a spoonful of mixture, enough to make about a 1 in ball. Take a mini mozzarella ball and form the mixture around the ball to form one meatball.
Line cookie sheet with foil and place meatballs on foil or parchment paper. Bake in oven for about 15 mins. Flipping them halfway thru.
Serve as an appetizer or with your favorite sauce.
Wine suggestion: as an appetizer Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or Sauv Blanc. These compliment the cheese and meat together
