Did you know Easter gets its name from the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre, the symbol of spring and fertility? 🌸🐰

Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox, which is why the date changes every year. It's the oldest Christian holiday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and has been observed since the second century. ✝️

Traditionally, lamb graces the Easter dinner table, but over time, new traditions blossomed—egg hunts, colorful eggs, candy-filled baskets, and, of course, the Easter Bunny himself! 🥚🐇 Rabbits, famous for their, ahem, large families, became the perfect symbol of new life and renewal.

Speaking of sweet traditions... Easter candy sales top $3 billion each year:

  • 16 billion jelly beans

  • 90 million chocolate bunnies

  • 1.5 billion marshmallow peeps!

(And yes—most people eat the ears first on chocolate bunnies. No judgment.)

Last year’s top Easter candies?
🥇 Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs
🥈 Cadbury Chocolate Mini Eggs (our office fave!)
🥉 Lindt chocolate and Jelly Beans for the win!

Whatever your favorite treat is, we hope you enjoy your candy, your family and friends, and a few celebratory bubbles today. 🥂✨

Sunday Funday vibes are in full bloom.
Hop Hop, Bunny Bunny! 🐰💛

Happy Easter from all of us at Around the Wine Cooler
