Summer Sangria Recipe (Serves 6–8)
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle dry red wine (Spanish Tempranillo, Garnacha, or Pinot Noir work great)
- ½ cup brandy (or triple sec for a citrusy twist)
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp sugar (or honey, to taste)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 1 cup sliced strawberries or raspberries
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 nectarine, chopped
- 1–2 cups club soda or lemon-lime soda (for fizz)
- Optional: fresh mint, a cinnamon stick, or a splash of peach schnapps
Instructions:
- Mix the booze. In a large pitcher, combine wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add the fruit. Toss in all the fruits and gently stir to combine.
- Chill. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is best).
- Serve. Just before serving, add the soda for sparkle and extra chill.
- Garnish. Add fresh mint or citrus wheels to glasses for a summery look.
Option:
- Prefer white wine? Try Sauvignon Blanc or a dry rosé for a lighter take.
- Freeze fruit slices beforehand for a fun, boozy ice cube replacement!
