Summer Sangria Recipe (Serves 6–8)

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle dry red wine (Spanish Tempranillo, Garnacha, or Pinot Noir work great)
  • ½ cup brandy (or triple sec for a citrusy twist)
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or honey, to taste)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries or raspberries
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 nectarine, chopped
  • 1–2 cups club soda or lemon-lime soda (for fizz)
  • Optional: fresh mint, a cinnamon stick, or a splash of peach schnapps

Instructions:

  1. Mix the booze. In a large pitcher, combine wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the fruit. Toss in all the fruits and gently stir to combine.
  3. Chill. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is best).
  4. Serve. Just before serving, add the soda for sparkle and extra chill.
  5. Garnish. Add fresh mint or citrus wheels to glasses for a summery look.

Option:

  • Prefer white wine? Try Sauvignon Blanc or a dry rosé for a lighter take.
  • Freeze fruit slices beforehand for a fun, boozy ice cube replacement!
